Newmark Retail announced a long-term lease for 7,163 sq. M for Wilson Sporting Goods at 594 Broadway for GFP Real Estate.
In addition to the store, Wilson will open a pop-up with New York’s most iconic tennis event in mid-August. The heritage sports brand is set to launch a select collection of retail concepts nationwide, with its first New York outpost in Soho.
Newmark vice chairs Ariel Schuster and Ben Birnbaum with Deputy CEO Andrew Taub represented the landlord in the deal, and Jessica Connolly of Schuster and Vela Retail Advisors represented the tenant.
Wilson Sporting Goods, a global brand of sports equipment, apparel and accessories, launched Wilson Sportswear in the US and China in May 2021. They create a shared brand experience at the intersection of sport, fashion and culture. Wilson Sportswear, a performance-oriented sportswear line for men and women, is designed to combine sport, fashion and culture. The direct line will be sold exclusively on Wilson’s website and retail locations in key markets.

594 Broadway, formerly known as the Lyons Building, is a 12-story office building dating back to 1898. The building, originally designed by Buchman & Deisler as a department store, is located on Broadway between the busy streets of West Houston and Prince Street.
