West Bromwich Albion have signed Norwich City forward Jordan Hugill on a full season loan.
The 29-year-old joins the Hawthorns, helping Norfolk out of the league last season.
Hugill scored four goals in 31 games last season, but only seven of those matches were opening matches, and he averaged 0.52 goals in 90 minutes for championship winners.
West Brom manager Valerien Ismael said: “Jordan has the player profile we were looking for and this is the type of striker we want.
“I think with his experience, mentality and work ethic, he will be perfect for us.
“We took our time to make the right decision, and after our first conversation with Jordan, we felt that he was right for us. He immediately became committed to Albion and our way of life and work. This is exactly what we wanted; so that the player wants to come here to help us succeed. ”
Relatively late to the professional game, Hugill is best known for his three years at Preston, for which he scored 23 times in 69 starts in the first league and championship, pairing well with current Albion striker Callum Robinson.
