One of the largest credit unions in the country is opening hundreds of jobs in a new office in Irving.
The PenFed Credit Union of Virginia leased 30,000 square feet in the Las Colinas Highlands building at 6191 N State Highway 161.
The finance company will use this space to expand its operations locally.
“PenFed is expanding its mortgage and services business in Texas and we are looking to hire up to 300 new employees and service team members in Irving,” Lee Wardlow, senior vice president of mortgage services at PenFed, said in a statement.
PenFed previously expanded the state of Texas in 2919, opening a 500-person financial services center in San Antonio.
Irving’s new office is located in the seven-story Las Colinas Highlands building.
“We are delighted to have PenFed join our Las Colinas building,” said Christy Waddell, vice president of leases at Cawley Partners, in a statement. “Location and high-performance floor plans should serve them well and support the expected growth of their team.”
Waddell has negotiated a lease with Sarah Fredericks with Newmark.
PenFed is the second finance firm to only rent out offices for mortgage operations in Irving.
California-based Rushmore Loan Management Services just leased 78,000 square feet in the Irving Business Center in Freeport to expand locally.
