Viewers speak out for local business support and Rocket Mortgage Classic

WXYZ DETROIT – Once again, it’s time to find out about the comments from viewers of Channel 7. We love to share our soap box! Our radio station editorial on supporting local businesses in newly opened Michigan Larry Edward write:

“(I) demand to know why everything has risen in price. It looks like companies are just taking advantage of a bad situation. “

Of course, Mr. Edward is referring to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mary J. Smith said:

“Except that we still have (Governor) Whitmer in our office, who doesn’t like it when small businesses open and only corporate stores open.”

John Schultz in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan sent us this comment:

“It’s been a hell of a tough year for small business owners in Michigan, but I’m grateful we had leadership that put the health of our citizens first. Now that Michigan is reopened, please spend money on local businesses. ”

Our Channel 7 editorial on our third Rocket Mortgage Classic project sparked D. Rowen comment:

“How exciting to see PGA golf at Detroit Golf Club. This is the positive national attention that our city needs and deserves. Rock in Motor City! “

Another viewer wrote:

“What’s great about this sporting event is that it is bringing back much needed technology to Detroit. It is impossible to do business in the world without mobile phones, computers and access to information highways. “

And finally, an email from an editorial we wrote a few weeks ago in connection with the upcoming ARISE Detroit Neighborhood Day. Alice Anderson said:

“Districts are the soul of any city, big or small.”

Amen! Thanks for that now. Thanks for writing and watching.
