Norwich has agreed to lease Ozan Kabak for the remainder of the season from SchalkeThe Turkish defender is expected to complete his turn after undergoing medical examinations on Monday.
The 21-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Liverpool, will provide much-needed defensive reinforcement to Daniel Farke’s squad after conceding 10 goals in their first three games since returning to the Premier League. The deal for Kabak is believed to include the ability to permanently make the deal worth approximately £ 16 million next season.
Liverpool turned down the opportunity to sign the 21-year-old for an initial £ 18m after playing 13 games last season. while Crystal Palace was also in talks for a possible transfer before opting instead to sign Joachim Andersen of Lyon.
