Torreira reacts to Aziz leaving Arsenal on loan in Portsmouth

Miguel Aziz completed the move to keep Arsenal on loan for the rest of the season by moving to Portsmouth – and Lucas Torreira reacted.

Aziz, 18, made his debut for Arsenal’s first team last season. The England player stepped down from the bench to play Dundalk in Europe.

The highly-rated midfielder played regularly with the U-23 last season, playing 23 second-squad games for the Gunners.

Impressive statistic considering he is still 18 years old. During this time, he scored five goals from midfield – three goals and two assists.

In his first two PL2 games, Aziz captained both matches, scoring a 6-1 defeat to West Ham. He reacted on Instagram after joining Portsmouth.

This is a brilliant move for Aziz. Portsmouth are clearly one of the biggest clubs in the First League, finishing eighth last season.

Danny Cowley will get the chance to run Portsmouth for the entire season this season after joining Pompey only in March.

This time, Portsmouth got off to a great start in the first league, winning three out of the first five and finishing in fifth.

Aziz joined this push for the promotion by adding a little flair and brute ability in the middle of the park. A brilliant move for Pompey and Aziz.

Torreira, who was loaned this summer from Fiorentina from Serie A from Arsenal, responded on Instagram.

In other Arsenal news the Gunners could end up selling the player to Barcelona if Tottenham make the deal.
