A Texas real estate broker who stormed the US Capitol on January 6 and documented it on social media on Thursday pleaded guilty to misdemeanor for participating in the riots.

Jenna Ryan agreed to pay $ 500 in damages to the Capitol during attack, reports CNN.

The Justice Department made similar deals with other nonviolent participants in the attempted rebellion. Ryan faces up to six months in prison, but the maximum sentence is unlikely.

The 51-year-old owner of First Place Real Estate in Frisco did not initially apologize for her behavior, revealing Dallas Tv in January that she was simply following instructions from then President Trump and “showing her patriotism.”

Ryan also posted a picture of herself in front of the shattered window in the Capitol building with the caption “and if the news doesn’t stop lying about us, we are going to come for their studios next time …”

By February she seems to have regretted reporting the Washington Post that she “bought into the lie” and calls the situation “awkward.”

But a month later, in March, she continued to resist, denying wrongdoing and tweeting that she “definitely won’t go to jail.”

“Sorry, I have blonde hair, white skin, a great job, a great future, and I’m not going to go to jail … I didn’t do anything wrong,” she wrote

Ryan is one of approximately 575 people indicted by the Justice Department for crimes related to the January 6 riot. She is scheduled to be sentenced in November.
