An international real estate company has acquired Brookside Downtown on Elm Street, Brookside Midtown Apartments on Walnut Street and College Avenue, and Brookside Townhouses on Old Plank Road.
Justin Gronely, Director and Head of Educational Real Estate for Harrison Street Real Estate Co.Confirmed purchase with Missourian on Friday. The company has offices in Chicago, Toronto and London and purchased properties in Brookside under the names HSRE Mizzou I, LLC and HSRE Mizzou II, LLC.
The buildings were sold by Bruce, Nathan and Jonathan Odle. Harrison Street did not answer a question about the price they paid for the property.
HSRE Mizzou I and II are not affiliated with MU.
“Harrison Street is delighted to expand our presence in Missouri to provide students with high-quality living space ideally located near campus,” the company said in an email in Missouri.
Jack Cardetti, a Brookside spokesman, did not comment on the decision to sell the property.
Harrison Street hired Cardinal Group Management Midwest to manage apartment buildings. A letter to residents of the Brookside Downtown building says the change of ownership will not affect any of the terms of current leases.
