SBA Provides Disaster Loans for Businesses in Southwest Oklahoma

LAWTON, Oklahoma. (KSWO) – Economic Disaster Loans are now available to small non-farm businesses in southwestern Oklahoma.

The loans are provided by the US Small Business Association to offset economic losses caused by the drought that began on April 6, 2021.

It is available in the major counties of Caddo, Canada, Grady and Kiowa, as well as neighboring counties: Beckham, Blaine, Cleveland, Comanche, Caster, Garvin, Greer, Jackson, Kingfisher, Logan, McClain, Oklahoma, Stevens, Tillman, and Washita.

Qualifying requirements are small non-agricultural enterprises, small agricultural cooperatives, small aquaculture enterprises and most private non-profit organizations.

Economic Disaster Loans are up to $ 2 million.

By law, the Small Business Administration grants loans when the USDA calls for an agricultural disaster. The secretary announced the drought on June 22nd.
