Speaking to the media on Wednesday, DeChambaut said he is dribbling straight and further than a year ago.

“If I can use the wedges – the wedges weren’t very good last week, but hopefully I can take care of that this week. If I can do this, I will give myself a good chance, ”he told the media.

Last year, DeShambo had a very good ball control and hit the Detroit Golf Club, leading to his -23 win.

He finished first in shots and target shots in the 2020 competition and his average driving distance was 350.5 yards. DeChambaut also finished 11th in distance of strikes.

His victory in 2020 was his first after he abruptly changed course to get a significant distance from the tee. He said that winning was very important to him.

“It was an important milestone to show everyone that this is a different way that I can do it and still win, so I was very proud of it. You know, I’ve used it pretty well for a year, ”he said. “I won again – I won the US Open, won Arnold Palmer and got close to him a few more times, but again, not everything that was in my A-match allowed me not to win. Hope I can get it this week. “

DeChambaut will be in one of four groups on Thursday and Friday of the tournament.

He will start the game at 1:20 pm with Cameron Champ and Kramer Hickok on Thursday and at 7:55 am on Friday.
