A week after the thrilling eight-hole playoffs won by Harris English in the Travelers Championship, the PGA Tour heads to Detroit, Michigan for the third-ever Rocket Mortgage Classic.

In the first two years of the event, the unexpected Nate Lashley won for the first time as the last player on the field in 2019, with Bryson DeShambeau taking the title last year. Success on this easy track is paramount, with Lashley and DeShambeau winning with -25 and -23 respectively. Only five players from the top 25 of the world rankings are fighting for him.

This is the second final tournament remaining before the final major championship of 2021, which will kick off as part of the Open. The Detroit winner will take home $ 1.35 million.

Kevin Kisner in search of a fourth victory

The 2021 season wasn’t too big, but Kevin Kisner came out of hibernation in the Travelers Championship last weekend with a 63 Sunday record to finish fifth.

He enters this championship with great confidence on this track, as he managed to close the distance both times, with the result that he finished third last year. Subsequently, Kisner showed solid results from the Rocket Mortgage Classic.

Kisner’s stroke statistics over the past two years on the Rocket Mortgage Classic

Hitting the ball General Tee-green An approach Putting

The path has always been his calling card, as he is ranked 14th in this category in the campaign. In his last twelve rounds, he was even better, finishing third in that time. This will be critical to success on this course given the need to get ultra low scores to be able to fight.

His +3500 chances of winning are not very tempting, but you can say that about all the odds competing this week considering this is such a blurry field. Given his recent strong finish and excellent performance at the Rocket Mortgage Classic last year, he is worth a look this week.

The best offers for the classic mortgage system of 2021

  1. Doc Redman (+5500): Doc Redman knocks on the door to secure his first win as he ended in two draws in the opening matches of the Palmetto Championship. In 2019, he was also second in solo. In two years in this tournament, Redman finished third in total strokes, ninth in putting and tenth in SG: tee-to-green. In the last twelve rounds of this season, he is the seventh most punched in his approach.
  2. Kyle Stanley (+9000): Kyle Stanley made six direct hits, with the T-8 doing his best on the Colonial. In the last twelve rounds, he is the first to hit the ball and hit the ball. The problem was with his stick, but if he can fix it, he can hit a weak field. In 2019, a respectable T-21 was shown on this site.
  3. Bo Hossler (+14000): Bo Hossler is a great option with a lot of potential. After a rather unfavorable season, he performed well in the last two tournaments, finishing in T-19 and T-10. In these eight rounds, he is the first in the number of hits scored, the second in the ball and the fourth in the hits of the ball.
