Bologna is reportedly intending to negotiate a season lease for Chelsea defender Malang Sarra.
The 22-year-old has been involved with several teams after running a previous campaign on loan at Porto after signing with Chelsea last summer.
The French central midfielder has piqued the interest of Serie A Bologna, who are looking to secure a young defender on loan before the transfer window closes on 31 August.
According to an Italian journalist Gianluca Di MarzioThe Italian side intends to hold decisive negotiations with Sarr’s entourage to try to come to an agreement on Monday.
However, it remains to be seen whether Bologna will be able to match the salary offered to the central midfielder at Stamford Bridge.
What’s more, it emerged that companies such as Eintracht Frankfurt and Everton are also monitoring Sarr, who is likely to be sent on credit before the end of the month.
Chelsea need to sell several names before announcing new arrivals following the signing of Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan for the club’s record £ 97.5 million.
Danny Drinkwater, Chiemue Bakayoko, Davide Zappacosta and Ike Ugbo are expected to leave West London before the transfer window closes, and Chelsea are looking to make room for the squad before making any new additions.
