Atalanta are reportedly considering replacing Chelsea striker Callum Hudson-Odoi’s loan in the final days of the transfer window.
The 20-year-old has not played under Thomas Tuchel in any of Chelsea’s first two Premier League games this season against Crystal Palace and Arsenal, although he played 82 minutes against Villarreal in the UEFA Super Cup.
Competition in attacking positions is strong, aided by the arrival of Romelu Lukaku. Kai Havertz, Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner, Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Hakim Ziyech and Hudson-Odoi are competing for three places, who can also play the role of full-back.
Playing time may be slightly limited, with reports in Italy suggesting that he may have a chance to spend regular playing time with Atalanta.
Corriere della sera Application Atalanta is considering a loan from Chelsea for the youth in the last days of the window.
They struggle to find the former Blue Jeremy God, but may try to lease Hudson-Odoi.
Atalanta’s deal is “difficult” for God, so they are exploring alternatives. They will continue to chase the midfielder just days before the August 31st transfer deadline.
Hudson-Odoi could follow the example of Davide Zappacosta, who joined Atalanta on a full-time basis this summer. Fikayo Tomori, Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud have also moved permanently to Serie A.
