Beringer Capital, a Toronto-based private equity firm specializing in media, technology and marketing services, has acquired the Inman Group.
Boehringer says he will “contribute to the daily strategy of a news organization as well as investment capital. Beringer said in a press release that the firm will invest “significant” funds in additional growth opportunities for Inman’s operations.
Chief Executive Officer Josh Albertson will continue to lead the company and Brad Inman will retain ownership.
The acquisition history of the company includes Adweek in 2016 until the company’s exit in 2020. Beringer acquired Perform in May[cb], founded by a commercial real estate investor in Sarasota. A private equity firm typically seeks to invest in mid-sized companies.
