Real estate agents donate $ 400,000 to flood-affected Hope for Haywood

Hope for Haywood, a News 13 and United Way flood relief fundraiser, received a huge donation. The Canopy Association of Realtors and Canopy MLS contributed $ 400,000 to the case.

The funds will be used to help tropical storm displaced Fred find housing and renovate some homes in the Haywood County area.

“We knew we needed help. And we knew we needed significant help. As you know, we are still waiting to see if we receive federal funding. I really hope and challenge, ”said Brian Cagle, managing broker at Beverly-Hanks in Waynesville,” said Brian Cagle, some of the other businesses in our area.
