Law360 (Jul 9, 2021 at 5:26 PM ET) – PHH Mortgage Corp. told Florida federal court on Friday that it has settled a potential class lawsuit in which the company is accused of improperly levying premiums on mortgage holders on its expenses on third-party property. checks for non-repayment of loans.
PHH and lead plaintiff Kirk Culver told the court that they have reached an individual settlement of Culver’s claims and are finalizing the settlement and termination documents.
The details of the settlement are confidential, according to Culver attorney Zachary Ludens of Zebersky Payne Shaw Lewenz LLP, who said the deal marks the end of class claims for this class.
