It has been a tough 18 months for young Chelsea footballer Duyon Sterling, but the Academy graduate seems to have recovered from the various injuries and illnesses he has dealt with since January 2020 and is ready to start his career again.
And after training with the first team to start preseason, he is now on loan to complete his rehab and return to regular play. He will do it with Blackpool, who got promoted in the first league in the playoffs last season, but did not have the best starts in the championship, having only two points in their first five games.
Before leaving, Sterling also signed a new contract with Chelsea, and this is not just a symbolic renewal, but rather. new two-year dealreportedly with option for the third also. The 21-year-old was once one of the top-rated up-and-coming right-backs in the youth system (which certainly says something when Rhys James and Tariq Lampty were among the others), and he still has every chance of it. … keep this promise…
Good luck Duyon!
