NEW YORK, June 29, 2021 (GLOBAL) – New York Mortgage Trust, Inc. (Nasdaq: NYMT) (the “Company”) today announced the launch of a public offering of its Series F cumulative fixed / floating interest rate. Redeemable Preferred Shares (“F Series Preference Shares”). The company intends to list its F Series preferred shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol ‘NYMTL’. The Company intends to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase additional shares of Series F Preferred Shares to cover any redundant offerings, if any.
Raymond James & Associates, Inc. acts as the sole accounting manager for the proposal.
The Company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to finance the repurchase of all or part of its outstanding 7.875% of cumulative redeemable Series C preference shares, par value of US $ 0.01 per share (the “Series C Preference Shares”). In addition, the Company intends to use the remainder of the net proceeds from the offering for general business purposes, which may include, but is not limited to, the acquisition of targeted assets, including residential and multi-family assets, and various other types of assets related to a mortgage, a residential building and a loan that he may use from time to time, the redemption of all or part of additional series of his preferred shares and general purposes of working capital.
