When asked why Rocket is focusing on promoting MI now, given that it has always been an integral part of the company’s business, he replied, “That’s a good question. We are constantly raising the bar for mortgage brokers to provide them with value that will help them serve their clients and grow their business. ”
As the largest mortgage lender in the US, he said, Rocket can offer “best MI deals,” although Rocket’s fees are non-refundable if, for example, a customer moves or sells their home.
Previously Head of Client Relations at Quicken Loans Mortgage Services (QLMS), Nemets joined Quicken Loans in 2009 as a mortgage banker. It’s safe to say that those formative years were the perfect training ground for understanding the needs of homeowners and building a reliable client list of thousands.
It also gave Nimek, who has a bachelor’s degree in business, management and marketing from Hillside College, the experience needed to quickly gauge product response – a skill that came in handy during the latest Rocket MI campaign.
“The answer was incredible,” he said. “You can usually tell if the response has been great based on how much credit they trust us and our purchases have skyrocketed – we had the largest buying month in our company’s history in May.”
