Manchester United will allow Dan James to leave after the return of old man Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Welsh striker was due to receive a new contract after several clubs asked for him earlier in the window.
But now the pursuers have been told to make their offers, and Everton, Brighton, Leeds and Crystal Palace have made their offers.
James could be borrowed or even sold if the right approach came up.
The former Swansea starlet will also want to say where he is going.
Brighton’s boss Graham Potter is close to James, while Leeds tried twice for him.
However, Everton and even Palace made inquiries.
James, 23, nearly moved to Leeds in January 2019.

The move failed, however, and this summer he moved to Manchester United from Swansea for £ 15m.
Since then, he has played 73 games for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team, scoring nine goals and providing nine more assists.
James started Manchester United’s first Premier League game against Leeds earlier this month, but was an unused substitute after a 1-1 draw at Southampton last weekend.
