The Serbia national team player joined City Academy in January but was immediately loaned to FC Partizan for the remainder of the 2020/21 campaign.
Although the Serbian side was previously associated with the Eredivisie SC Heerenveen unit, the Serbian side is now chasing the 18-year-old’s signature ahead of a new campaign.
As Pep Guardiola is adamant about boosting his attack ahead of the new campaign, the left winger will struggle for playing time and the club believes the loan could be a progressive step in his development.
The striker scored four goals and two assists in 33 games across all competitions last season and could benefit significantly from a temporary move to Serie A.
It was also reported that Manchester United were tracking the striker before he signed with the Premier League champions.
Interestingly, Stevanovic appears to have had a falling out with his coaching staff at Partizan after his summer transfer to Manchester was announced.
The Partizan academy graduate wrote on Instagram and shot at his childhood club, claiming that he was not played as much due to his move to the Champions League finalists.
