Barnsley Football Club can confirm that Luke Thomas is loaned to Bristol Rovers before the end of the 21/22 season.
The 22-year-old striker arrived in Oakwell from Derby County in June 2019 and made 64 appearances in all competitions for the Reds.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Ipswich Town in the Sky Bet First League, where he played five games before taking a personal break from football.
Moving closer to home and his family, Thomas will now play at Memorial Stadium ahead of the Rovers’ second league following their relegation from tier three last season.
If necessary, the Reds retained the ability to withdraw Luke from the loan in January 2022.
We would like to wish Luke the best of luck with Gas, and we will make sure to keep our supporters informed of his progress throughout the 21/22 campaign.
