Streets bring local knowledge and passion to your next home search

If you call the most recent L&K Real Estate agent, Darren Streets, when he’s out of the office or out of the field to help clients, he may very well be away from home to look after his horses at his family farm in Gallatin Gateway. The Virginia native made southwest Montana his home in 2001 with his wife Blythe, twin daughters and son.
Streets went into real estate with a solid track record of supporting their venture – the Clemson University graduate owned and operated a building inspection company in Gallatin Valley for the past 15 years and worked in disaster insurance for seven years.
Streets were attracted to real estate because he wanted to use his past to share the slow pace of Montana life with those who wanted to move to the area.
“When you move here, you kind of immerse yourself in the speed of life in Montana, and that’s one of the challenges we face when people move here is to get them to catch their breath,” Streets says.
He is also passionate about responsible growth – quality L&K and Outlaw Real Estate Partners, owned by Outlaw Partner, the newspaper’s publisher, are shared as the area grows.
Despite the growth, one thing that isn’t changing about Bozeman, Streets says, is the division into one degree in the community.
“Wherever you go [in Bozeman] Perhaps there is a friend or acquaintance in the crowd, at a party or at dinner, ”says Streets.
The avid tourist originally moved here to ski and fish, and has since embraced everything Montana has to offer, passing on his love for the land and its resources to his children and sharing it with his clients.
Streets says it’s important to listen to your clients – what do they like, what are their hobbies and needs, and how do they see their life in Montana? Having examined over 3,000 buildings in the Gallatin Valley in his previous career, Streets says he “knows the area” and applies that knowledge to home ownership.
