Los Angeles Employee Pension System made additional commitments of up to $ 50 million to two real estate funds, according to boardroom action reports released Thursday.

In a private meeting at the April 27 meeting, the LACERS board allocated an additional $ 25 million to Kayne Anderson Core Real Estate, an open-ended real estate fund managed by Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors. LACERS first invested $ 35 million in the fund in 2019.

Pension fund employees have also pledged an additional $ 25 million to the Lion Industrial Trust, which is managed by Clarion Partners… In 2016, LACERS made an initial commitment of $ 50 million to the Lion Industrial Trust.
