In Chicago Key mortgage services today announced the hiring of Ralph Melbourne, senior industry leader, as its new president. Chosen after Key Mortgage conducted a nationwide search, the Chicago-based financial services specialist immediately takes up his new position in the company’s mortgage division. Byrd and Warner, Illinois’s largest independent family owned real estate services company.

Most recently, Melbourne was the head of the national mortgage division at BMO Harris Private Bank and the managing director of the mortgage venture with Realogy Holdings Corp., formed by Guaranteed Rate Affinity. Both businesses are based in Chicago. Prior to these senior roles, he was President of PHH Mortgage Real Estate Channel in Mount Laurel, NJ, where he led more than 400 loan officers with an annual value of over $ 8 billion. Prior to his key role at PHH Mortgage, Melbourne held various senior positions at PNC Mortgage, Morgan Stanley Credit Corp., Washington Mutual and Citibank.

Melbourne holds a BA in Business Administration from the Anderson School of Management, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. Having lived in the western suburbs of Chicago for over 30 years, he has volunteered for Shriners Children’s Hospitals and is still a leading member of the Zoological Society of Chicago.
