Jack Clarke has decided that he wants to stay at Tottenham and fight for a spot in Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans as London football understands.

The twenty-year-old player has participated in four cup competitions for Spurs since signing in 2019.

The winger was loaned back to Leeds United for his first season and then transferred to QPR for the remainder of the campaign.

Last season, Jose Mourinho wanted to keep him at the club to get to know him better, and he played in some Europa League and FA Cup matches before being loaned to Stoke City in January.

This loan proved promising until an ankle injury led to its premature termination.

After a few pre-season minutes with Espiritu SantoClarke, the main squad, has 45 minutes behind him this season in a defeat to Pacos de Ferreira in the European Conference League, but has mostly played for U23 so far.

Spurs have shown interest in the Scottish championship and teams. Clark on loan for the season, but at this stage on the last day, Clark showed intent to stay with the club and try to impress Espiritu Santo before considering his options in January, as he did last season.

Newcastle, Bournemouth and Celtic have previously shown interest in the 23-year-old center-back, who has played five games for Spurs amid a large number of leases to Championship clubs over the years.

With his situation narrowing, the Spurs loan is of little use unless it comes with a purchase commitment.
