You may have heard that the real estate market is slowing down a bit – but is it really so?
“It was still crazy – don’t get me wrong – but not much crazier than in past months,” says Bethany Stalder of Fidelis Property Group in Keller Williams in Alexandria.
The median selling prices in June rose 1.7 percent from the previous month, which was “modest” compared to the rise earlier this year. Homes still spend about a week on the market, which seems to indicate that buyers are still highly motivated and competition for both single family homes and condominiums is high.
The most competitive zip codes were 22308 and 22315.
