Insurance rates dispute between Blue Cross and Blue Shield Of Oklahoma, OU ended

“Blue Cross” and “Blue Shield” by doctors of Oklahoma and O.W. ended the rate dispute that could have caused thousands of Oklahoma residents to seek new doctors.

The feud pitted the state’s largest insurance company against one of the largest healthcare providers.

They could not discuss how much BCBS would pay OU doctors for their services. The fight has become more chaotic than similar ones in recent years, with both sides launching messaging campaigns, making the dispute public. At some point, they ended negotiations and began sending out letters to patients informing them that they might need to change providers.

The agreement expired at the end of June.

However, on Wednesday morning, both organizations issued a joint statement announcement of a new contract. This will postpone negotiations for another year.
