Illinois Rural Communities Receive Nearly $ 60 Million in Federal Loans and Grants

ILLINOAS. (KFVS) – US Senators Dick Durbin, Illinois and Tammy Duckworth, Illinois announced on June 25 that rural communities will receive $ 59,193,800 in federal loans and grants.

Ten communities will receive funding from the USDA Direct Loans and Grants Program.

In the Heartland, Johnson County will receive a loan of $ 8.5 million.

The loan will be used for the construction of the Johnson County Courthouse.

Other communities include Ashmore Township Road, Gorville Village, North City Village, Wabash General Hospital District, Salem Fire Protection District, Moveaqua Village, Newton City, YMCA Ottawa, Quincy University Corp.
