Reginia Teter, recruiter of the Guaranteed Real Estate Department, recalled that during the pandemic, many people interested in becoming agents began to contact us.
“It was like taking them out of the center. I’ve been thinking about this for quite some time now. I’m out of work right now. I want to work for myself, ”Tetter said.
Before becoming an agent, you must pay a license fee and pass the exam within 4-6 months.
But you also have to pay hundreds of dollars a year in fees from associations, resellers, and numerous listing services.
If you are solving a problem in a crowded area, the industry is always available to more people.
“It’s a matter of persistence and determination among these agents, as there are sites with many offerings and you really have to work hard for your clients,” Tetter said.
Last year, people were unable to pass government exams because the test center was closed due to COVID.
They have resumed and are hiring new agents again.
“If you can’t talk about yourself, you’re probably a good candidate for real estate,” Tetter said.
Scott Reba of Prosperity Home Mortgage explained how the housing boom has hit all workers in the industry.
“These are not only realtors and lenders, but also title officers and escrow officers, appraisers, home inspectors, pest control inspectors and general contractors,” Leva said.
While many of these areas did require additional hires, Reba said some companies may be reluctant to hire large numbers of new hires.
“I wish I could get more help, but most of these subsectors understand that these cycles go back and forth. Yes, today I can gather and hire a lot of people. , The amount may decrease after 1 year or after 6 months. “”
Employers don’t need to let people go after training.
Reba said recruiting plays an important role in the industry and can build a career in any of the areas we mentioned.
But it took patience and perseverance.
