Ghana Signs € 600 Million Loan Agreements for Railway Construction



ACCRA, June 29 (Reuters) – Ghana has agreed on two loans totaling € 600 million ($ 714.54 million) for the construction of a 100-kilometer section of the railroad with lenders including Deutsche Bank and Investec, the finance ministry said on Tuesday.

The line will transport agricultural products and minerals from the Huni Valley to the port of Takoradi in the south of the country, the government and creditors said in a joint statement. (1 dollar = 0.8397 euros) (Reporting by Hereward Holland, editing by Bate Felix)
