Friends of the Israel Defense Forces have a golf picnic on Long Island



Englewood’s Mark Waldman was among 150 New York real estate professionals who attended the ninth annual golf walk at the Glen Oaks Country Club in Old Westbury for the ninth annual Friends of the Israel Defense Forces golfing event. The proceeds support FIDF welfare programs and educational programs for IDF soldiers.

The one-day event at Glen Oaks honored Robert J. Ivanhoe, Vice Chairman of Greenberg Traurig, LLP and Senior Chairman of International Real Estate Practice.

Other guests of honor at the event included FIDF NY Affinity Group Chairman and Stonehenge CEO Ofer Yardeni; Brig. General Amir Keren, Israel Air Force Attaché to the United States; and the new Air Force attaché, Brigadier General Asaf Vardi.

FIDF New York Real Estate was created in 2006 by a group of successful business leaders and philanthropists who were passionate about bringing together members of the real estate community to support the men and women who defend and defend Israel. Since then, the unit has helped support several projects, including the construction of a health center at the IDF Rey for the 71st Battalion of the 188th Armored Brigade. The Real Estate Division plays a central role in the FIDF Tri-State Region.
