Former CIO of the Norwegian Sovereign Wealth Fund joins US firm



Karsten Kallevig, Special Real Estate Advisor to the CEO of the Norwegian Sovereign Wealth Fund, is relocating to the United States to join Prologis, a real estate investment fund.

From October 1, he will oversee the Prologis strategic capital business, which includes 10 joint ventures in the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia.

Kallevig will strive to develop holdings in real estate and private investment relations. He will report to Prologis Chairman and CEO Hamid Moghadam.

Kallevig has joined the Norges Bank Investment Management real estate program since its inception in 2010. Over the next decade, he built a team and built a $ 30 billion real estate portfolio.

He has served as Director of Real Estate Investment and CEO of Norges Bank Real Estate Management.

Most recently, he was Special Advisor to the Director General of the National Welfare Fund Nikolai Tangen. he took on in September 2020.

Kallevig previously held senior management positions at Grove International Partners and Soros Fund Management in Tokyo and London.
