Odriozola was rumored to be wanted by a Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, but now the right-back has agreed on a loan until 2022 to join Fiorentina’s Serie A team. The players’ salaries will be paid by Fiorentina, but there is no way to buy until the end of the term.

While Fiorentina has always been considered the favorite to capture Odriozola, Tottenham also showed interest in the 25-year-old who, according to to ponder his next move, and ultimately he chose Italy.

There is no way to buy Alvaro Odriozola

With the player tied to Real Madrid until 2024, they have no desire to sell the player, and manager Carlo Ancelotti would prefer him to have playing time and be ready to fight for his place at the Bernabeu in 2022-23. For this reason, it should come as no surprise that the buy option is not included.

Given Real’s highly publicized financial difficulties, the fact that Fiorentina has agreed to pay Odriozole’s salary will help them cut their payroll as they strive to enforce financial fair play rules.

The deal could help Mbappe move

By removing this salary from the account, it will help Real Madrid in pursuit of striker Paris Saint-Germain. Kylian Mabappé, which remain their number one goal this summer. PSG has already made it clear that Mbappe will only be sold on their terms and for no less than £ 180 million.

Real’s first offer was rejected and they have now returned the second offer, but still haven’t reached the asking price.
