Equity Prime Mortgage (EPM) provides funding for the University of South Carolina Aiken Center for Excellence and Training Campaign to help propel the project past the finish line

ATLANTA, June 23, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Last year, EPM launched the #LivesNotLoans campaign to bring back to the community through a variety of charitable and charitable events. Tied to the end of each loan is a real life lived. Giving is an integral part of what EPM does to empower people. EPM believes that empowerment leads to freedom, which means financial freedom as well as freedom of mind and body. As the pandemic opened up new opportunities for growth, EPM seized on new opportunities to empower people beyond their loans.

One such opportunity presented itself to the president of EPM. Phil Mancuso after his son returned home from college for the summer. University of South Carolina Aiken (UofSC Aiken) wants to renovate its aging sports facility. Phil felt the urge to step in, do his best to get the money back and secure funding for the building before the student athletes returned to campus for the fall semester.

The university has over 200 student athletes and over 300 students studying physical exercise, so the university lacks the space for the learning they need to continue to succeed. The existing limited space only accommodates 15 student athletes and does not allow students to use proper equipment. Students strive to improve their academic performance. Creating dedicated space allows students to invest in the success of their future – to give themselves freedom.

In response to a donation Jim Herlihy, Director of Athletics at UofSC Aiken, wrote: “On behalf of our students and student athletes, we would like to thank the leadership of Equity Prime Mortgage for bringing this project closer to reality. Upon completion, this new Center will significantly enhance the academic and athletic development opportunities of over 20% of students on campus. The center has been a top priority for our student council for the past two years. This important gift brings us closer to completing fundraising for the project. “

“We are proud to be the driving force behind the initiative to help all of these student athletes reach the highest heights, as we do every day here at EPM. We also ask all who are in a position to give to think for this reason. While we have solidified the foundation for a modern institution, there is never enough equipment, technology, or professional supervision to help these young men and women achieve their goals! “- Phil commented.

Striving for development and excellence is the driving force of the spirit in EPM. This generous outpouring of love and support will motivate you to focus on the needs of your growing community. To donate to this cause, visit https://giving.usca.edu/aiken-direct-your-gift
