Emergency Mortgage Assistance Available | Pleasanton Express

Low-income families in rural communities may qualify for the Texas Mortgage Emergency Assistance Program (TEMAP). The Alamo County Government Council can pay up to six months on mortgages for eligible families (five months late and one future payment).

This program is administered by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs using funds from the CARES Social Development Grant Act.

You may qualify for mortgage assistance:

• If you live in one of the 12 rural districts of the Alamo area.

• If you have been affected by COVID-19.

• If your average income (AMI) is less than 80%.

• If your mortgage does not exceed 150% Fair Market Rent / Fair Market Rent in small areas.

• If your mortgage is in the first or second collateral position.

• If your place of residence is your primary residence.

“The first step is to check the AMI calculator because eligibility will depend a lot on their annual income,” said AACOG’s Cristal Campos-Rosales. “Then their mortgage should be at or below 150% FMR.”

You can scan the QR code in the lower right corner of the attached picture. The QR code will take you directly to the AMI link where you can search by postcode or county.

To start the admission process, call 866-231-4922 or email. TEMAP@aacog.com… If there is no answer, please leave a message with your contact information.
