BETON ROUGE, LA. – Dwight Capital provided a $ 31.4 million HUD-insured loan for Highland Club Apartments, a 279-unit garden-style apartment building in Baton Rouge. Highland Club Hotel is located at 17505 Jefferson Highway approximately 15.5 kilometers from Baton Rouge city center.

Built in three phases between 2003 and 2019, the hotel comprises 28 buildings and a clubhouse spread over 23 acres. The average apartment square footage is 1,162 square feet. Public amenities include a pet park, swimming pool, poolside gazebos, picnic / barbecue area, business center, fitness center and hiking trails.

The deal was organized by Josh Sasuness from Dwight Capital. The loan was granted a 25 basis point reduction in its Environmental Mortgage Insurance (MIP) premium as the property is Energy Star certified. The loan was provided to the borrowing company HKon LLC.
