DC United have announced that forward Eric Sorga will join their United Football League (USL) championship team, Loudoun United FC, on a short-term basis. The Estonian national team player will be available for selection among the red and white for the upcoming match against the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Saturday 24 July.
Sorga, who joined DC United prior to the 2020 Major League football season, has played a total of 20 appearances with nine appearances for Black & Red. Most notably, he scored the winning goal against the New York Red Bulls on September 2, 2020. His last appearance for DC United was on May 1, when he started and completed a full 90 minutes away match with San Jose Earthquakes.
