Dallas-based August Real Estate. Co. acquires Lakewood Tower

Dallas-headquartered August Real Estate has acquired its third East Dallas property in conjunction with Lakewood Tower.

A group that also owns Continental Gene Building and 331 First Ave., bought a nine-story property at 6301 Gaston Ave. from a partnership controlled by Caddo Holdings.

The Caddo subsidiary will retain ownership of the newly built Caddo Office Reimagined building next door.

Lakewood Tower includes approximately 120,000 square feet of office space and also offers a five-level garage. Businesses such as Wells Fargo, Baylor Scott & White and The Advocate are located in a building in the heart of the neighborhood.

Augusta Real Estate Company co-founder of a neighbor Jordan Augustwho lives on Swiss Avenue. The company pays special attention to the restoration rather than redevelopment of the acquired property.

“With two other nearby assets, the historic Continental Gin Building and 333 1st Avenue, Lakewood Tower is a continuation of our expansion in the area and builds on our strategic approach to long-term real estate acquisitions, creating long-term assets that are part of the surrounding community.” – said in the statement of August.
