CRG announces Sierre Boatwright as Vice President of Real Estate and Community Development



CRG, Clayco’s Chicago-based real estate development and investment division, has hired Siera Boatright as Vice President of Real Estate and Community Development. Boatright will help oversee the planning and development of CRG’s high-impact real estate projects, including securing land rights and public and private funding, negotiating agreements with the government, working closely with community organizations, developing feasibility studies and fully facilitating. the scope of CRG’s real estate development efforts.

Boatwright will work closely with parent company CRG Clayco’s Chicago business unit to advance real estate and construction opportunities and oversee the success of its high-profile projects. Boatwright will also work with the Clayco and CRG leadership teams to develop and launch a program to mentor and support aspiring commercial paint developers, and help establish the CRG Cares national charity program in the multiple markets where CRG operates.

Boatwright joined CRG from Chicago Neighborhood Initiatives, Inc., where she was Vice President of Real Estate and Inclusion, and over 8 years at the organization managed significant projects, including the 180-acre Pullman Park development, which generated over $ 400 million. dollars of new investments and nearly 1,800 jobs.

Boatright holds an MA in Urban Planning from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a BA in Psychology from Hamilton College, New York. She serves on the executive board of the ULI Women’s Leadership Initiative and serves on the boards of directors of the Chicago Community Land Trust, Metropolitan Planning Council and Landmarks Illinois. Boatwright is also Commissioner for Roseland Medical District, volunteer and sponsor of Link Unlimited.

Boatwright was named one of Crain’s Chicago Business ’40 Under 40 Companies for 2020, and she was named one of the Outstanding Women in Commercial Real Estate in 2019. She was also honored as a Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow in 2020.
