The West Ham midfielder is reportedly on Thomas Tuchel’s wishlist for next season, as the German boss hopes to renew his squad to withstand the long title fight.
He currently plays with England in the European Championships and Rice had a great season with the Hammers as he helped secure their Europa League entry for the first time since 2016.
Rice had been on West London’s radar for over a year and could have been on his way to Stamford Bridge several years after he was let go of the club’s academy.
After confirmation Billy Gilmore goes on loan for the season in Norwich City Rice took to social media on Friday and conveyed his best wishes to the young Scotsman for the new season,
It was recently reported that Rice has reportedly turned down two deals with West Ham. and it has given players like Chelsea and Manchester United new hope in their quest for the 22-year-old.
Tuchel is a big fan of the midfielder and will be a key target for the Champions League winners this summer. West Ham claims their stellar midfielder is not for sale, but David Moyes’ side is believed to value Rice at around £ 100 million.…
Rice is “interested” in listening to any suggestions presented to him, and will be “disappointed” if West Ham refuses to authorize the sale if the club makes a bet in the area £ 60 million on the table.
However, it turned out that Rice will not be applying for transfers or trying to get out of West Ham.where his current deal will last until 2024 with the option of extending his stay at London Stadium for another 12 months.
West Ham has yet to receive an official bid for Rice, but it remains to be seen whether they will want to cash in on him if the applicant offers an undeniable amount of money, even close to their own man’s estimate.
