In many cities of the country, real estate is in vogue. The houses are in high demand and are sold at a premium. This is a boon to sellers who often submit multiple bids above the asking price and find their homes are selling in a day.

For buyers, this is an ever-growing problem. Charlotte’s real estate market is white-hot. Stocks are at historic lows, which is driving up prices. Interest rates are low, which stimulates demand and prices, but there is more: investors gobble up houses and turning them into rent.

We’ll see how this all affects buyers, sellers, renters and realtors, and how long it might last.
