Bayerische Versorgungskammer (BVK) has appointed Manuel Philippe Wormer as head of global real estate investment management.
Wormer, who joined the € 97.2 billion German pension fund in 2017 as Senior Investment Manager, will continue to report to Rainer Komend.
He will be responsible for all existing and future real estate investments, with the exception of investments in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, which are supervised by a dedicated DACH team.
BVK’s global real estate investments are held in over 45 separately managed accounts, including direct and indirect investments and listed properties, both in equity and debt structure.
Prior to BVK, Wormer held the position of Portfolio Manager at WealthCap / UniCredit and was responsible for a range of fixed assets and secondary real estate funds in Europe and the USA.
Wormer is Chairman of the Education and Training Committee of the European Association of Real Estate Funds INREV.
