DETROIT – Bryson DeShambeau and Caddy Tim Tucker are taking a hiatus, Deschambeau told ESPN journalist Michael Collins on Thursday.
DeChambeau plays the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit and Tucker trained for DeChambeau earlier in the week. DeShambeau told Collins that Tucker didn’t leave right away, but they needed a little time.
He did not specify how long the break would last, but Ben Shomin will be DeShambeau’s caddie until the end of the Detroit tournament.
Tucker and DeShambeau have faced a similar situation before when Tucker left in 2017, although they reunited in 2018.
DeShambo is returning champion at the Rocket Mortgage Classic and has not yet started its first round this week.
