Manchester United defender Brandon Williams will complete his seasonal move to Norwich City on Monday.
The England U21 will be Norwich’s second and last domestic loan in the new Premier League season, following the arrival of Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour earlier this summer.
United were keen to spend the weekend at Southampton before officially sanctioning the move, and Alex Telles was still working to recover from injury.
While they were initially looking for a £ 2 million loan fee for the 20-year-old’s departure, it is understandable that Norwich is paying significantly less than that amount.
Williams was on the bench last Saturday for United’s 5-1 win over Leeds, but did not travel to Southampton on Sunday.
He is the seventh player to sign Norwich over the summer and may make his debut in the second round of the English Football League Cup, which will attend the Bournemouth championship on Tuesday night.
The defender has played 50 senior club appearances for United since his debut in 2019.
