Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich is suing two real estate companies in Tucson for consumer fraud.

Both businesses are run by the same person, whose companies have been under investigation by the state’s attorney general for several years.

According to the Better Business Bureau, Deed and Note Traders and 881 Home are operated by David Kinas.

Both companies allegedly sold homes under a mortgage agreement and then failed to make payments on the underlying mortgage, resulting in foreclosures, according to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit also states that Kinas was allegedly unable to repay the loan, despite receiving thousands of dollars in advance payments from clients.

The Attorney General’s Office found that Kinas is not a licensed real estate agent or mortgage broker.

The lawsuit requires restitution of up to $ 10,000 in civil sanction.
