Looking at today’s mortgage refinancing rates

Historically, mortgage refinancing rates are significantly higher than mortgage rates for buying a home. But today’s refinancing rates across all terms remain roughly the same as purchase rates, which is a great deal for homeowners looking to shorten their stay and save on interest. After 20-year rates dropped to 2.375% yesterday, unprecedented for this time frame, they have jumped to 2,500% today, but can still help homeowners save on interest while keeping their monthly payments manageable. Meanwhile, 30-year rates are the lowest since February, at 2.625% for the second day in a row. If you are thinking of refinancing an existing home, check out what the refinancing rates look like:

  • 30 year fixed refinancing rates: 2.625%, up from 2.875% last week, -0.125
