The 20-year-old from Savannah, Georgia, made his FA Cup debut with Aston Villa against Fulham on January 4, 2020 and made his Premier League debut on January 18 in Brighton.
“Indiana is a terrific young talent with great potential,” Miami sporting director Chris Henderson said in a club statement. “He feels comfortable, has a strong possession of the ball and moves smoothly. We believe this is the right place for Indiana to grow and reach its potential. ”
He played four Premier League games, plus one each in the FA Cup and League Cup in the 2019-20 season, then was loaned to Tier 3 Burton for the first half of the 2020-2021 season and has not scored a goal in 12 league games.
He spent the second half of the season on loan at Level 4 Cheltenham and has also missed 12 appearances.
Vasilev played for the USA at the 2017 U17 World Cup.
