Credit transfer to Feyenoord has been reportedly disabled by Manchester United star Amad Diallo.
The Ivorian striker is believed to have been injured in training and appears intent on missing out for much of the season.
It has not yet been revealed what the problem is and how long the 19-year-old might be away – just days before moving to Feyenoord.
Quoted by the Dutch edition ANNOUNCEMENT, Feyenoord CTO Frank Arnesen said: “He was injured, it was canceled.
“It’s a pity that everything was done. I’ve talked a lot with people at Manchester United, but it’s wiser to let him recover at this club.
“It may take a while before he comes back.”
Diallo’s reported injury is a major blow to his chances of success in his first full season since joining United in January.
The national team player, with three appearances, has played a total of 13 club football appearances, eight of them for United.
After Cristiano Ronaldo’s sensational return to Old Trafford, boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer announced that Diallo would move to gain experience.
Speaking ahead of his team’s 1-0 victory over Volkov, the Norwegian told MUTV: “Yes, I know. [expect him to go out on loan]…
“It is not 100 percent signed, but we agreed.
“I don’t have to say what the team is yet, but we found a place that excites Amad and that makes us feel excited.”
It is reported that Sheffield United and Italy’s Atalanta were also interested, but all clubs may have to wait a bit to grab the wonder child.
