Manchester United starlet Amad Diallo is set to leave the club this summer, joining Dutch Feyenoord on loan for the entire season.
The 19-year-old saw his path to the Red Devils first team blocked by the arrival of Jadon Sancho, as well as the current multitude of wide strikers available to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Diallo will have to be rented to earn the desired minutes, and Fabrizio Romano reports that the striker is now close to completing his seasonal move to giant Eredivisie Feyenoord.
Solskjaer himself has confirmed that the former Atalanta star is leaving Old Trafford this summer, hinting that MJ in fact, has already agreed on a principle deal with another club.
“Yes [expect him to go out on loan]… It is not 100% signed, but we agreed, ”Solskjaer said.
“I don’t have to say what the team is yet, but we found a place that excites Amad and that piques our interest.”
The Feyenoord deal is now in its final stages and Diallo will have a chance to show what he can do at the highest level in the Netherlands. The Ivorian signed with Manchester United in January 2021, and high hopes were immediately placed on the shoulders of the starlet.
He excelled at the under 23 level, scoring four goals and three assists in three games, demonstrating that he has the opportunity to make the first team. Diallo made eight matches for the senior team, even scored a goal in the Europa League against Milan…
However, his chances of adding to this tally are currently severely limited upon arrival. Sancho and shocking soccer badge signing Cristiano Ronaldo… Diallo will have his chance at Feyenoord, and the Red Devils will be watching his progress in the coming season.
